Russia’s Trade with Peru

In 2011, Russia’s trade with Peru totaled $725,739,211, up 121.53% ($398,135,907) from 2010.

Russia’s exports to Peru in 2011 totaled $643,938,064, up 143.24% ($379,199,501) from 2010.

Russia’s imports from Peru in 2011 totaled $81,801,147, up 30.12% ($18,936,406) from 2010.

Russia’s trade surplus with Peru in 2011 was $562,136,917, a 178.46% increase ($360,263,095) over 2010.

Peru was Russia’s 73rd largest trading partner in 2011 (up from 82nd in 2010), accounting for 0.0882% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0523% in 2010).

Peru was Russia’s 64th largest export market in 2011 (up from 69th in 2010), accounting for 0.1246% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0667% in 2010).

Peru was Russia’s 87th largest supplier in 2011 (down from 85th in 2010), accounting for 0.0268% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0275% in 2010).

The major share of Russian exports to Peru in 2011 (and in 2010) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 26.97% of Russia’s total exports to Peru (0.03% in 2010);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 6.43% of Russia’s total exports to Peru (0.01% in 2010);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 3.62% of Russia’s total exports to Peru (4.84% in 2010);

  • Inorganic chemicals; organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals,of radioactive elements or of isotopes (HS code 28) - an increase of $5,244,182;
  • Ores, slag and ash (HS code 26) - an increase of $3,613,781;
  • Articles of iron or steel (HS code 73) - an increase of $3,434,133;
