Russia’s Trade with Slovakia

In 2011, Russia’s trade with Slovakia totaled $10,022,986,153, up 41.80% ($2,954,804,255) from 2010.

Russia’s exports to Slovakia in 2011 totaled $7,064,852,125, up 54.39% ($2,488,954,152) from 2010.

Russia’s imports from Slovakia in 2011 totaled $2,958,134,028, up 18.69% ($465,850,103) from 2010.

Russia’s trade surplus with Slovakia in 2011 was $4,106,718,097, a 97.10% increase ($2,023,104,049) over 2010.

Slovakia was Russia’s 20th largest trading partner in 2011 (up from 22nd in 2010), accounting for 1.2186% of Russia’s total trade (up from 1.1291% in 2010).

Slovakia was Russia’s 21st largest export market in 2011 (up from 22nd in 2010), accounting for 1.3673% of Russia’s total exports (up from 1.1524% in 2010).

Slovakia was Russia’s 24th largest supplier in 2011 (down from 22nd in 2010), accounting for 0.9675% of Russia’s total imports (down from 1.0888% in 2010).

The major share of Russian exports to Slovakia in 2011 (and in 2010) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 91.99% of Russia’s total exports to Slovakia (90.32% in 2010);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 3.60% of Russia’s total exports to Slovakia (3.82% in 2010);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 2.32% of Russia’s total exports to Slovakia (2.18% in 2010);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 1.49% of Russia’s total exports to Slovakia (2.06% in 2010).

  • Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 2.66% of Russia’s total imports from Slovakia (1.95% in 2010);
