In 2011, Russia’s trade with Syria totaled $1,991,064,219, up 71.89% ($832,756,060) from 2010.

Russia’s exports to Syria in 2011 totaled $1,942,200,163, up 74.07% ($826,437,340) from 2010.

Russia’s imports from Syria in 2011 totaled $48,864,056, up 14.85% ($6,318,720) from 2010.

Russia’s trade surplus with Syria in 2011 was $1,893,336,107, a 76.42% increase ($820,118,620) over 2010.

Syria was Russia’s 47th largest trading partner in 2011 (up from 55th in 2010), accounting for 0.2421% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1850% in 2010).

Syria was Russia’s 38th largest export market in 2011 (up from 44th in 2010), accounting for 0.3759% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2810% in 2010).

Syria was Russia’s 98th largest supplier in 2011 (down from 90th in 2010), accounting for 0.0160% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0186% in 2010).

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 9.50% of Russia’s total exports to Syria (14.71% in 2010);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 3.15% of Russia’s total exports to Syria (7.25% in 2010);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 3.08% of Russia’s total exports to Syria (4.72% in 2010);
