Russia’s Trade with Turkey

In 2011, Russia’s trade with Turkey totaled $31,709,839,897, up 25.91% ($6,525,524,799) from 2010.

Russia’s exports to Turkey in 2011 totaled $25,350,199,728, up 24.77% ($5,032,822,956) from 2010.

Russia’s imports from Turkey in 2011 totaled $6,359,640,169, up 30.67% ($1,492,701,843) from 2010.

Russia’s trade surplus with Turkey in 2011 was $18,990,559,559, a 22.91% increase ($3,540,121,113) over 2010.

Turkey was Russia’s 7th largest trading partner in 2011 (just as in 2010), accounting for 3.8554% of Russia’s total trade (down from 4.0232% in 2010).

Turkey was Russia’s 6th largest export market in 2011 (just as in 2010), accounting for 4.9060% of Russia’s total exports (down from 5.1169% in 2010).

Turkey was Russia’s 13th largest supplier in 2011 (down from 11th in 2010), accounting for 2.0799% of Russia’s total imports (down from 2.1261% in 2010).

The major share of Russian exports to Turkey in 2011 (and in 2010) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 16.67% of Russia’s total exports to Turkey (18.06% in 2010);
