In 2011, Russia’s trade with Venezuela totaled $1,734,726,040, up 949.44% ($1,569,425,712) from 2010.

Russia’s exports to Venezuela in 2011 totaled $1,733,883,288, up 1,003.96% ($1,576,822,370) from 2010.

Russia’s imports from Venezuela in 2011 were $842,752, down 89.77% ($7,396,658) from 2010.

Russia’s trade surplus with Venezuela in 2011 was $1,733,040,536, a 1,064.51% increase ($1,584,219,028) over 2010.

Venezuela was Russia’s 52nd largest trading partner in 2011 (up from 95th in 2010), accounting for 0.2109% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0264% in 2010).

Venezuela was Russia’s 43rd largest export market in 2011 (up from 83rd in 2010), accounting for 0.3356% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0396% in 2010).

Venezuela was Russia’s 150th largest supplier in 2011 (down from 120th in 2010), accounting for 0.0003% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0036% in 2010).

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 52.55% of Russia’s total exports to Venezuela (39.61% in 2010);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 6.65% of Russia’s total exports to Venezuela (17.24% in 2010);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 0.83% of Russia’s total exports to Venezuela (6.08% in 2010);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 0.53% of Russia’s total exports to Venezuela (12.83% in 2010).

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - an increase of $6,091,379.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Venezuela in 2011 over 2010 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 18.52% of Russia’s total imports from Venezuela (1.08% in 2010);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 11.85% of Russia’s total imports from Venezuela (92.43% in 2010);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 4.91% of Russia’s total imports from Venezuela (2.82% in 2010).
