In 2012, Russia’s trade with Greece totaled $6,581,478,164, up 24.89% ($1,311,814,057) from 2011.

Russia’s exports to Greece in 2012 totaled $5,947,561,519, up 26.98% ($1,263,742,016) from 2011.

Russia’s imports from Greece in 2012 totaled $633,916,645, up 8.21% ($48,072,041) from 2011.

Russia’s trade surplus with Greece in 2012 was $5,313,644,874, a 29.67% increase ($1,215,669,975) over 2011.

Greece was Russia’s 26th largest trading partner in 2012 (up from 27th in 2011), accounting for 0.7816% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.6407% in 2011).

Greece was Russia’s 23rd largest export market in 2012 (up from 26th in 2011), accounting for 1.1334% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.9065% in 2011).

The major share of Russian exports to Greece in 2012 (and in 2011) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 94.09% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (90.04% in 2011);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 2.72% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (6.76% in 2011);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 1.66% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (1.46% in 2011).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Greece in 2012 over 2011 were recorded for the following product groups:
