Russia’s exports to the US in 2012 were $12,867,081,933, down 21.66% ($3,558,218,076) from 2011.
Russia’s imports from the US in 2012 totaled $15,366,373,616, up 5.37% ($782,703,498) from 2011.
Russia’s trade balance with the US went from a surplus of $1,841,629,891 in 2011, to a deficit of $2,499,291,683 in 2012.
The US was Russia’s 9th largest trading partner in 2012 (down from 8th in 2011), accounting for 3.3531% of Russia’s total trade (down from 3.7702% in 2011).
The US was Russia’s 13th largest export market in 2012 (down from 9th in 2011), accounting for 2.4521% of Russia’s total exports (down from 3.1788% in 2011).
The US was Russia’s 5th largest supplier in 2012 (just as in 2011), accounting for 4.8434% of Russia’s total imports (up from 4.7696% in 2011).

- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 22.54% of Russia’s total exports to the US (18.34% in 2011);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 18.06% of Russia’s total exports to the US (15.43% in 2011);
- Precious metals and stones (HS code 71) - 5.92% of Russia’s total exports to the US (4.09% in 2011);
