Russia's Trade with Tanzania

In the 1st quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Tanzania totaled $40,786,678, up 6.04% ($2,323,806) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Tanzania in the 1st quarter of 2016 totaled $32,964,335, up 6.23% ($1,932,530) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Tanzania in the 1st quarter of 2016 totaled $7,822,343, up 5.27% ($391,276) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade surplus with Tanzania in the 1st quarter of 2016 was $25,141,992, a 6.53% increase ($1,541,254) over the 1st quarter of 2015.

The largest declines in Russia's exports to Tanzania in the 1st quarter of 2016 over the 1st quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $1,237,425;
  • Salt; sulfur; earths and stone; plastering materials, lime and cement (HS code 25) - a decrease of $592,472;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $368,723;
  • Beverages, spirits and vinegar (HS code 22) - a decrease of $113,097.
