The top ten Russia’s export markets in Asia in the 1st quarter of 2016 were China (9.72% of Russia’s total exports), Turkey (5.24%), South Korea (4.15%), Japan (3.81%), Kazakhstan (2.93%), India (1.55%), Taiwan (0.94%), Uzbekistan (0.72%), Singapore (0.53%), Iran (0.49%);
The top ten Russia’s import suppliers from Asia in the 1st quarter of 2016 were China (20.84% of Russia’s total imports), Japan (3.76%), South Korea (2.41%), Kazakhstan (2.16%), India (1.58%), Indonesia (1.48%), Vietnam (1.47%), Turkey (1.13%), Taiwan (1.00%), and Malaysia (0.75%).

- The share of Turkey in Russia’s total exports declined from 6.4990% in the 1st quarter of the 2015 to 5.2394% in the 1st quarter of the 2016;
- The share of Japan in Russia’s total exports declined from 4.8169% in the 1st quarter of the 2015 to 3.8077% in the 1st quarter of the 2016;
- The share of Singapore in Russia’s total exports declined from 0.9290% in the 1st quarter of the 2015 to 0.5263% in the 1st quarter of the 2016;
- The share of Iraq in Russia’s total exports declined 2.2-fold from 0.9839% in the 1st quarter of the 2015 to 0.4507% in the 1st quarter of the 2016;
