Russia's Trade with India

In the 1st quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with India was $1,514,800,164, down 19.33% ($362,896,080) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to India in the 1st quarter of 2016 were $948,100,047, down 28.87% ($384,802,013) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from India in the 1st quarter of 2016 totaled $566,700,117, up 4.02% ($21,905,933) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade surplus with India in the 1st quarter of 2016 was $381,399,930, a 51.61% decrease ($406,707,946) over the 1st quarter of 2015.

India was Russia's 17th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2016 (up from 18th in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 1.5567% of Russia's total trade (up from 1.4193% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

India was Russia's 19th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2016 (down from 17th in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 1.5450% of Russia's total exports (up from 1.4766% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

India was Russia's 14th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2016 (up from 19th in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 1.5769% of Russia's total imports (up from 1.2961% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

The major share of Russian exports to India in the 1st quarter of 2016 (and in the 1st quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 18.91% of Russia's total exports to India (19.28% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
