Russia's Trade with Argentina

In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Argentina totaled $265,775,536, up 8.20% ($20,134,208) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Argentina in the 2nd quarter of 2016 totaled $43,233,373, up 26.18% ($8,969,785) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Argentina in the 2nd quarter of 2016 totaled $222,542,163, up 5.28% ($11,164,423) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade deficit with Argentina in the 2nd quarter of 2016 was $179,308,790, a 1.24% increase ($2,194,638) over the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Argentina was Russia's 52nd largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 60th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.2442% of Russia's total trade (up from 0.1802% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Argentina was Russia's 81st largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 92nd in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0651% of Russia's total exports (up from 0.0374% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Argentina was Russia's 36th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 38th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.5250% of Russia's total imports (up from 0.4719% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Russia's Exports to Argentina

The major share of Russian exports to Argentina in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 53.04% of Russia's total exports to Argentina (35.69% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 35.24% of Russia's total exports to Argentina (45.84% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
