Russia's Trade with Hungary

In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Hungary was $1,160,726,540, down 7.26% ($90,834,451) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Hungary in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $767,819,717, down 6.72% ($55,349,643) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Hungary in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $392,906,823, down 8.28% ($35,484,808) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade surplus with Hungary in the 2nd quarter of 2016 was $374,912,894, a 5.03% decrease ($19,864,835) over the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Hungary was Russia's 21st largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 22nd in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 1.0665% of Russia's total trade (up from 0.9180% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Hungary was Russia's 20th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 21st in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 1.1555% of Russia's total exports (up from 0.8992% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Hungary was Russia's 26th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 24th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.9269% of Russia's total imports (down from 0.9565% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Russia's Exports to Hungary

The major share of Russian exports to Hungary in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 85.24% of Russia's total exports to Hungary (81.40% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 8.24% of Russia's total exports to Hungary (8.72% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 4.90% of Russia's total exports to Hungary (7.73% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

The largest gains in Russia's exports to Hungary in the 2nd quarter of 2016 over the 2nd quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - an increase of $4,934,649;
  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - an increase of $3,310,818.

  • Inorganic chemicals; organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals,of radioactive elements or of isotopes (HS code 28) - a decrease of $4,283,679;
