The top five Russia’s trade partners in North America in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were the US (3.9565% of Russia’s total foreign trade), Mexico (0.3928%), Canada (0.2431%), Trinidad and Tobago (0.1862%), and Puerto Rico (0.0516%);

The top five Russia’s export markets in North America in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were the US (3.3522% of Russia’s total exports), Mexico (0.4050%), Trinidad and Tobago (0.3050%), Canada (0.1424%), and Cuba (0.0417%);

The top five Russia’s import suppliers from North America in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were the US (4.9038% of Russia’s total imports), Canada (0.4009%), Mexico (0.3737%), Puerto Rico (0.0820%), and Jamaica (0.0585%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of North America in the 2nd quarter of 2016 over the 2nd quarter of 2015:

  • The share of Trinidad and Tobago in Russia’s total exports rose 3.3-fold from 0.0937% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 0.3050% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Puerto Rico in Russia’s total exports rose 161-fold from 0.0002% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 0.0322% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of the US in Russia’s total imports declined from 7.2163% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 4.9038% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Cuba in Russia’s total imports declined 10.6-fold from 0.0573% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 0.0054% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016.
