Russia’s Trade with Jordan

In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Jordan was $37,040,952, down 42.89% ($27,823,610) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Jordan in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $32,123,314, down 47.17% ($28,676,211) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Jordan in the 2nd quarter of 2016 totaled $4,917,638, up 20.97% ($852,601) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade surplus with Jordan in the 2nd quarter of 2016 was $27,205,676, a 52.05% decrease ($29,528,812) over the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Jordan was Russia’s 97th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 91st in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0340% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0476% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Jordan was Russia’s 86th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 77th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0483% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0664% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Jordan was Russia’s 100th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 104th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0116% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0091% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Russia’s Exports to Jordan

The major share of Russian exports to Jordan in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 66.76% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (54.42% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 17.29% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (37.82% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 7.86% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (4.46% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);

  • Sugars and sugar confectionery (HS code 17) - a decrease of $286,343;
  • Printed books, newspapers, pictures and other products of the printing industry; manuscripts, typescripts and plans (HS code 49) - a decrease of $226,861;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $122,348;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $102,746.

Russia’s Imports from Jordan
