Russia’s Trade with Ireland

In the 3rd quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Ireland was $251,943,997, down 13.73% ($40,096,821) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Ireland in the 3rd quarter of 2016 were $40,955,317, down 30.67% ($18,119,229) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Ireland in the 3rd quarter of 2016 were $210,988,680, down 9.43% ($21,977,592) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade deficit with Ireland in the 3rd quarter of 2016 was $170,033,363, a 2.22% decrease ($3,858,363) over the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Ireland was Russia’s 59th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (down from 54th in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.2066% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2301% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

Ireland was Russia’s 86th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (down from 79th in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0569% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0743% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

Ireland was Russia’s 36th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (up from 37th in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.4222% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.4916% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

Russia’s Exports to Ireland

The major share of Russian exports to Ireland in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 70.33% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (68.19% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 21.80% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (22.63% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 3.17% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (3.39% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 3.04% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (3.64% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
