Russia’s Trade with Slovenia

In the 3rd quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Slovenia was $242,343,200, down 7.63% ($20,005,780) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Slovenia in the 3rd quarter of 2016 totaled $32,523,307, up 34.06% ($8,262,559) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Slovenia in the 3rd quarter of 2016 were $209,819,893, down 11.87% ($28,268,339) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade deficit with Slovenia in the 3rd quarter of 2016 was $177,296,586, a 17.08% decrease ($36,530,898) over the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Slovenia was Russia’s 62nd largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (down from 61st in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.1988% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2067% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

Slovenia was Russia’s 93rd largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (up from 104th in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0452% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0305% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

Slovenia was Russia’s 37th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (down from 36th in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.4198% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.5024% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

Russia’s Exports to Slovenia

The major share of Russian exports to Slovenia in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 67.21% of Russia’s total exports to Slovenia (28.77% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 17.61% of Russia’s total exports to Slovenia (54.72% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 8.01% of Russia’s total exports to Slovenia (9.58% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 2.07% of Russia’s total exports to Slovenia (1.74% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.99% of Russia’s total exports to Slovenia (0.92% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
