Russia’s Trade with Turkmenistan
In the 3rd quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Turkmenistan was $158,795,686, down 38.09% ($97,708,493) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.
Russia’s exports to Turkmenistan in the 3rd quarter of 2016 were $125,693,927, down 45.94% ($106,820,276) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.
Russia’s imports from Turkmenistan in the 3rd quarter of 2016 totaled $33,101,759, up 37.98% ($9,111,783) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.
Russia’s trade surplus with Turkmenistan in the 3rd quarter of 2016 was $92,592,168, a 55.60% decrease ($115,932,059) over the 3rd quarter of 2015.
Turkmenistan was Russia’s 72nd largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (down from 63rd in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.1302% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2021% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).
Turkmenistan was Russia’s 63rd largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (down from 51st in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.1747% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.2924% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).
Turkmenistan was Russia’s 75th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (up from 82nd in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0662% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0506% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).
Russia’s Exports to Turkmenistan
The major share of Russian exports to Turkmenistan in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 50.51% of Russia’s total exports to Turkmenistan (37.20% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 14.92% of Russia’s total exports to Turkmenistan (17.47% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 13.20% of Russia’s total exports to Turkmenistan (24.06% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
