Russia’s Trade with Finland

In the 4th quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Finland totaled $2,776,833,718, up 15.16% ($365,581,728) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Finland in the 4th quarter of 2016 totaled $2,047,730,409, up 21.22% ($358,474,382) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Finland in the 4th quarter of 2016 totaled $729,103,309, up 0.98% ($7,107,346) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade surplus with Finland in the 4th quarter of 2016 was $1,318,627,100, a 36.33% increase ($351,367,036) over the 4th quarter of 2015.

Finland was Russia’s 15th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2016 (down from 14th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 2.0378% of Russia’s total trade (up from 1.8439% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Finland was Russia’s 12th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2016 (up from 13th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 2.4425% of Russia’s total exports (up from 2.0493% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Finland was Russia’s 17th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2016 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 1.3906% of Russia’s total imports (down from 1.4937% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Russia’s Exports to Finland

The major share of Russian exports to Finland in the 4th quarter of 2016 (and in the 4th quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Finland in the 4th quarter of 2016 over the 4th quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:
