Russia’s Trade with Kazakhstan

In the 4th quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Kazakhstan totaled $3,874,153,650, up 8.30% ($296,793,116) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Kazakhstan in the 4th quarter of 2016 totaled $2,867,618,565, up 10.01% ($261,010,105) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Kazakhstan in the 4th quarter of 2016 totaled $1,006,535,085, up 3.69% ($35,783,011) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade surplus with Kazakhstan in the 4th quarter of 2016 was $1,861,083,480, a 13.77% increase ($225,227,094) over the 4th quarter of 2015.

Kazakhstan was Russia’s 11th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2016 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 2.8430% of Russia’s total trade (up from 2.7356% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Kazakhstan was Russia’s 8th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2016 (up from 10th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 3.4205% of Russia’s total exports (up from 3.1622% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Kazakhstan was Russia’s 11th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2016 (up from 12th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 1.9197% of Russia’s total imports (down from 2.0083% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

The major share of Russian exports to Kazakhstan in the 4th quarter of 2016 (and in the 4th quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:
