Russia’s Trade with Morocco

In the 4th quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Morocco totaled $386,375,974, up 12.12% ($41,777,342) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Morocco in the 4th quarter of 2016 totaled $195,469,417, up 11.89% ($20,768,009) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Morocco in the 4th quarter of 2016 totaled $190,906,557, up 12.37% ($21,009,333) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade surplus with Morocco in the 4th quarter of 2016 was $4,562,860, a 5.02% decrease ($241,324) over the 4th quarter of 2015.

Morocco was Russia’s 51st largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2016 (up from 55th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.2835% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2635% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Morocco was Russia’s 57th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2016 (down from 56th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.2332% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2119% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Morocco was Russia’s 43rd largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2016 (down from 41st in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.3641% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.3515% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Russia’s Exports to Morocco

The major share of Russian exports to Morocco in the 4th quarter of 2016 (and in the 4th quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 51.76% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (74.65% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 19.03% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (3.37% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 9.22% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (14.33% in the 4th quarter of 2015);

Russia’s Imports from Morocco

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 82.29% of Russia’s total imports from Morocco (85.26% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
  • Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 10.72% of Russia’s total imports from Morocco (11.03% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.36% of Russia’s total imports from Morocco (0.79% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
