Russia’s Trade with the Czech Republic

In the 4th quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with the Czech Republic totaled $1,708,192,093, up 12.60% ($191,187,383) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to the Czech Republic in the 4th quarter of 2016 totaled $908,814,043, up 15.84% ($124,275,859) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from the Czech Republic in the 4th quarter of 2016 totaled $799,378,050, up 9.14% ($66,911,524) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade surplus with the Czech Republic in the 4th quarter of 2016 was $109,435,993, a 110.16% increase ($57,364,335) over the 4th quarter of 2015.

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 18th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2016 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 1.2535% of Russia’s total trade (up from 1.1601% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 23rd largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2016 (up from 24th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 1.0840% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.9517% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 16th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2016 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 1.5246% of Russia’s total imports (up from 1.5153% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

The major share of Russian exports to the Czech Republic in the 4th quarter of 2016 (and in the 4th quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 67.92% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (67.76% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 10.72% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (12.63% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
