Russia’s Trade with Bosnia and Herzegovina

In the 1st quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Bosnia and Herzegovina totaled $46,617,141, up 20.38% ($7,892,070) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $19,502,141, up 4.32% ($806,934) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $27,115,000, up 35.37% ($7,085,136) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade deficit with Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1st quarter of 2017 was $7,612,859, a 470.40% increase ($6,278,202) over the 1st quarter of 2016.

Bosnia and Herzegovina was Russia’s 97th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2017 (up from 101st in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0363% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0399% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

  • Pulp of wood or of other fibrous cellulosic material; waste and scrap of paper or paperboard (HS code 47) - an increase of $436,920;
  • Tobacco and manufactured tobacco substitutes (HS code 24) - an increase of $193,667.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1st quarter of 2017 over the 1st quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $1,502,037;
  • Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - a decrease of $813,220;
  • Raw hides and skins (other than furskins) and leather (HS code 41) - a decrease of $145,189.
