Russia’s Trade with Ecuador

In the 1st quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Ecuador totaled $400,291,786, up 6.93% ($25,932,510) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Ecuador in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $51,374,181, up 48.75% ($16,837,419) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Ecuador in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $348,917,605, up 2.68% ($9,095,091) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade deficit with Ecuador in the 1st quarter of 2017 was $297,543,424, a 2.54% decrease ($7,742,328) over the 1st quarter of 2016.

Ecuador was Russia’s 46th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2017 (down from 45th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.3114% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.3856% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Ecuador was Russia’s 82nd largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2017 (up from 86th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0616% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0564% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Ecuador was Russia’s 30th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2017 (down from 27th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.7717% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.9493% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Ecuador in the 1st quarter of 2017 over the 1st quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - a decrease of $1,319,748.
