The major trading partners of Russia in Europe in the 1st quarter of 2017:

The top ten Russia’s trade partners in Europe in the 1st quarter of 2017 were Germany (8.9955% of Russia’s total foreign trade), the Netherlands (8.0690%), Belarus (4.9871%), Italy (3.9550%), Poland (2.9019%), France (2.5685%), Finland (2.1904%), the United Kingdom (2.1526%), Ukraine (2.0130%), and Belgium (1.9044%);

The top ten Russia’s export markets in Europe in the 1st quarter of 2017 were the Netherlands (11.5407% of Russia’s total exports), Germany (8.2679%), Belarus (4.7209%), Italy (3.8226%), Poland (3.3547%), Finland (2.6282%), the United Kingdom (2.2754%), Belgium (2.2408%), France (2.0052%), and Latvia (1.9324%);

The top ten Russia’s import suppliers from Europe in the 1st quarter of 2017 were Germany (10.3366% of Russia’s total imports), Belarus (5.4776%), Italy (4.1990%), France (3.6066%), Ukraine (2.1715%), Poland (2.0673%), the United Kingdom (1.9263%), the Netherlands (1.6704%), the Czech Republic (1.4468%), and Spain (1.4364%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Europe in the 1st quarter of 2017 over the 1st quarter of 2016:

  • The share of the United Kingdom in Russia’s total exports declined from 2.7477% in the 1st quarter of the 2016 to 2.2754% in the 1st quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Poland in Russia’s total exports rose from 2.6122% in the 1st quarter of the 2016 to 3.3547% in the 1st quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Finland in Russia’s total exports rose from 2.1873% in the 1st quarter of the 2016 to 2.6282% in the 1st quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Portugal in Russia’s total exports rose 5.5-fold from 0.0687% in the 1st quarter of the 2016 to 0.3771% in the 1st quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Iceland in Russia’s total exports declined 3.8-fold from 0.0109% in the 1st quarter of the 2016 to 0.0029% in the 1st quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Montenegro in Russia’s total exports declined 5.4-fold from 0.0097% in the 1st quarter of the 2016 to 0.0018% in the 1st quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of France in Russia’s total imports declined from 4.3969% in the 1st quarter of the 2016 to 3.6066% in the 1st quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Moldova in Russia’s total imports rose 2.1-fold from 0.0811% in the 1st quarter of the 2016 to 0.1697% in the 1st quarter of the 2017.
