Russia’s Trade with Greece

In the 1st quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Greece totaled $981,465,615, up 74.43% ($418,805,612) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Greece in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $942,930,012, up 79.77% ($418,411,753) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Greece in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $38,535,603, up 1.03% ($393,859) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Greece in the 1st quarter of 2017 was $904,394,409, a 85.95% increase ($418,017,894) over the 1st quarter of 2016.

Greece was Russia’s 29th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2017 (up from 34th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.7635% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.5796% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Greece was Russia’s 21st largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2017 (up from 25th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 1.1315% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.8559% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Greece was Russia’s 70th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2017 (down from 65th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0852% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.1066% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Greece

The major share of Russian exports to Greece in the 1st quarter of 2017 (and in the 1st quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 64.14% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (70.10% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 32.66% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (21.95% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
