Russia’s Trade with Peru

In the 1st quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Peru totaled $88,504,927, up 37.40% ($24,091,644) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Peru in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $61,348,326, up 56.65% ($22,184,959) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Peru in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $27,156,601, up 7.55% ($1,906,685) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Peru in the 1st quarter of 2017 was $34,191,725, a 145.75% increase ($20,278,274) over the 1st quarter of 2016.

Peru was Russia’s 83rd largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2017 (up from 87th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0688% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0664% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Peru was Russia’s 79th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2017 (up from 83rd in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0736% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0639% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Peru was Russia’s 79th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2017 (down from 77th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0601% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0705% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Peru

The major share of Russian exports to Peru in the 1st quarter of 2017 (and in the 1st quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 59.26% of Russia’s total exports to Peru (48.68% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 23.37% of Russia’s total exports to Peru (6.98% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 9.28% of Russia’s total exports to Peru (13.55% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 4.93% of Russia’s total exports to Peru (5.09% in the 1st quarter of 2016);

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - an increase of $11,564,550;
