Russia’s Trade with Ghana

In the 2nd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Ghana was $42,982,810, down 56.75% ($56,399,856) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Ghana in the 2nd quarter of 2017 were $24,861,329, down 72.47% ($65,447,850) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Ghana in the 2nd quarter of 2017 totaled $18,121,481, up 99.72% ($9,047,994) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Ghana in the 2nd quarter of 2017 was $6,739,848, a 91.70% decrease ($74,495,844) over the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Ghana was Russia’s 103rd largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (down from 76th in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0308% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0913% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

Ghana was Russia’s 98th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (down from 66th in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0296% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1359% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

Ghana was Russia’s 87th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (up from 92nd in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0325% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0214% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Ghana in the 2nd quarter of 2017 over the 2nd quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $62,100,200;
  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $3,505,307;
  • Beverages, spirits and vinegar (HS code 22) - a decrease of $1,869,559;
