Russia’s Trade with Portugal

In the 4th quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Portugal totaled $338,500,046, up 12.81% ($38,429,950) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Portugal in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $213,624,274, up 7.67% ($15,225,427) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Portugal in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $124,875,772, up 22.82% ($23,204,523) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Portugal in the 4th quarter of 2017 was $88,748,502, a 8.25% decrease ($7,979,096) over the 4th quarter of 2016.

Portugal was Russia’s 62nd largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 58th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.2025% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2202% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Portugal was Russia’s 59th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 55th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.2077% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.2366% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Portugal was Russia’s 58th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 56th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1943% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1939% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Portugal

The major share of Russian exports to Portugal in the 4th quarter of 2017 (and in the 4th quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 94.21% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (73.11% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 1.84% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (2.40% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 1.56% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (3.62% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 1.03% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (1.67% in the 4th quarter of 2016);

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Portugal in the 4th quarter of 2017 over the 4th quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

Russia’s Imports from Portugal
