Russia’s Trade with South Ossetia

In the 4th quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with South Ossetia totaled $25,020,643, up 33.28% ($6,247,755) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to South Ossetia in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $23,230,934, up 27.69% ($5,038,211) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from South Ossetia in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $1,789,709, up 208.48% ($1,209,544) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with South Ossetia in the 4th quarter of 2017 was $21,441,225, a 21.74% increase ($3,828,667) over the 4th quarter of 2016.

South Ossetia was Russia’s 120th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 119th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0150% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0138% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

South Ossetia was Russia’s 106th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 103rd in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0226% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0217% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

South Ossetia was Russia’s 121st largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2017 (up from 132nd in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0028% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0011% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

  • Products of the milling industry; malt; starches; inulin; wheat gluten (HS code 11) - a decrease of $310,216;
