In 2017, Russia’s trade with Brazil totaled $5,230,806,935, up 21.39% ($921,776,418) from 2016.

Russia’s exports to Brazil in 2017 totaled $2,032,492,643, up 13.83% ($246,921,571) from 2016.

Russia’s imports from Brazil in 2017 totaled $3,198,314,292, up 26.74% ($674,854,847) from 2016.

Russia’s trade deficit with Brazil in 2017 was $1,165,821,649, a 57.99% increase ($427,933,276) over 2016.

Brazil was Russia’s 26th largest trading partner in 2017 (down from 23rd in 2016), accounting for 0.8956% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.9212% in 2016).

Brazil was Russia’s 35th largest export market in 2017 (up from 37th in 2016), accounting for 0.5692% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.6254% in 2016).

Brazil was Russia’s 18th largest supplier in 2017 (down from 15th in 2016), accounting for 1.4092% of Russia’s total imports (up from 1.3845% in 2016).

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 74.47% of Russia’s total exports to Brazil (72.44% in 2016);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 17.53% of Russia’s total exports to Brazil (21.72% in 2016);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 4.20% of Russia’s total exports to Brazil (2.37% in 2016);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 3.11% of Russia’s total exports to Brazil (1.88% in 2016).
