The top ten Russia’s trade partners in Asia in the 1st quarter of 2018 were China (15.3023% of Russia’s total foreign trade), Turkey (4.5685%), Japan (2.8438%), Kazakhstan (2.7160%), South Korea (2.6657%), India (1.4503%), Taiwan (1.0248%), Vietnam (0.7217%), Uzbekistan (0.5992%), and Singapore (0.5181%);

The top ten Russia’s export markets in Asia in the 1st quarter of 2018 were China (11.9139% of Russia’s total exports), Turkey (6.0205%), Kazakhstan (2.9645%), South Korea (2.6500%), Japan (2.5096%), India (1.4919%), Taiwan (1.1174%), Uzbekistan (0.6851%), Singapore (0.6774%), and Israel (0.4726%);

The top ten Russia’s import suppliers from Asia in the 1st quarter of 2018 were China (21.6945% of Russia’s total imports), Japan (3.4743%), South Korea (2.6953%), Kazakhstan (2.2472%), Turkey (1.8293%), Vietnam (1.4879%), India (1.3717%), Taiwan (0.8502%), Indonesia (0.7957%), and Thailand (0.7336%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Asia in the 1st quarter of 2018 over the 1st quarter of 2017:

  • The share of Turkey in Russia’s total exports rose from 4.2456% in the 1st quarter of the 2017 to 6.0205% in the 1st quarter of the 2018;
  • The share of South Korea in Russia’s total exports declined from 3.6969% in the 1st quarter of the 2017 to 2.6500% in the 1st quarter of the 2018;
  • The share of Singapore in Russia’s total exports declined from 1.3011% in the 1st quarter of the 2017 to 0.6774% in the 1st quarter of the 2018;
  • The share of Syria in Russia’s total exports declined 4.3-fold from 0.1978% in the 1st quarter of the 2017 to 0.0458% in the 1st quarter of the 2018;
  • The share of Bangladesh in Russia’s total exports declined 2.2-fold from 0.1645% in the 1st quarter of the 2017 to 0.0755% in the 1st quarter of the 2018;
  • The share of Malaysia in Russia’s total exports rose 2.8-fold from 0.1070% in the 1st quarter of the 2017 to 0.2952% in the 1st quarter of the 2018;
  • The share of Afghanistan in Russia’s total exports declined 3.0-fold from 0.0890% in the 1st quarter of the 2017 to 0.0294% in the 1st quarter of the 2018;
  • The share of Pakistan in Russia’s total exports rose 3.5-fold from 0.0589% in the 1st quarter of the 2017 to 0.2050% in the 1st quarter of the 2018;
  • The share of North Korea in Russia’s total exports declined 8.4-fold from 0.0377% in the 1st quarter of the 2017 to 0.0045% in the 1st quarter of the 2018;
  • The share of Turkey in Russia’s total imports rose from 1.3183% in the 1st quarter of the 2017 to 1.8293% in the 1st quarter of the 2018.
