Russia’s Trade with Croatia

In the 1st quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Croatia totaled $320,265,598, up 16.31% ($44,902,303) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $271,354,419, up 32.58% ($66,676,010) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2018 were $48,911,179, down 30.80% ($21,773,707) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2018 was $222,443,240, a 66.01% increase ($88,449,717) over the 1st quarter of 2017.

Croatia was Russia’s 61st largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 58th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2032% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2142% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Croatia was Russia’s 53rd largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 51st in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2634% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2456% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Croatia was Russia’s 71st largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 63rd in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0896% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.1563% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Croatia

The major share of Russian exports to Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2018 (and in the 1st quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 93.07% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (94.76% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.58% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (2.60% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 0.67% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (1.34% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2018 over the 1st quarter of 2017 were recorded for the following product groups:
