Russia’s Trade with Sri Lanka
In the 1st quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Sri Lanka totaled $98,824,144, up 10.91% ($9,723,437) from the 1st quarter of 2017.
Russia’s exports to Sri Lanka in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $28,368,878, up 24.05% ($5,499,149) from the 1st quarter of 2017.
Russia’s imports from Sri Lanka in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $70,455,266, up 6.38% ($4,224,288) from the 1st quarter of 2017.
Russia’s trade deficit with Sri Lanka in the 1st quarter of 2018 was $42,086,388, a 2.94% decrease ($1,274,861) over the 1st quarter of 2017.
Sri Lanka was Russia’s 83rd largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 82nd in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0627% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0693% in the 1st quarter of 2017).
Sri Lanka was Russia’s 94th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2018 (up from 96th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0275% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0274% in the 1st quarter of 2017).
Sri Lanka was Russia’s 66th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 64th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1290% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.1465% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

- Inorganic chemicals; organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals,of radioactive elements or of isotopes (HS code 28) - an increase of $565,359;
- Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - an increase of $535,694;
- Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - an increase of $232,289.
