The Report on Russia’s foreign trade in goods with Colombia in the second quarter of 2018: exports, imports, products, dynamics.
Russia’s Trade with Colombia
In the 2nd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Colombia was $78,495,296, down 12.26% ($10,966,006) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.
Russia’s exports to Colombia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 were $42,767,884, down 23.55% ($13,175,002) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.
Russia’s imports from Colombia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $35,727,412, up 6.59% ($2,208,996) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.
Russia’s trade surplus with Colombia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 was $7,040,472, a 68.60% decrease ($15,383,998) over the 2nd quarter of 2017.
Colombia was Russia’s 88th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0459% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0640% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).
Colombia was Russia’s 93rd largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 83rd in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0388% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0666% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).
Colombia was Russia’s 78th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0589% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0601% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).
Russia’s Exports to Colombia
The major share of Russian exports to Colombia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 41.14% of Russia’s total exports to Colombia (19.80% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 28.30% of Russia’s total exports to Colombia (23.16% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 18.30% of Russia’s total exports to Colombia (5.81% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 7.86% of Russia’s total exports to Colombia (43.54% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);

- Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - an increase of $1,485,400;
- Organic chemicals (HS code 29) - an increase of $862,908;
- Articles of stone, plaster, cement, asbestos, mica or similar materials (HS code 68) - an increase of $806,794;
- Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - an increase of $646,755;
