Russia’s Trade with Hungary

In the 2nd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Hungary totaled $1,703,353,327, up 27.40% ($366,312,976) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Hungary in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $1,155,869,999, up 38.81% ($323,186,850) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Hungary in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $547,483,328, up 8.55% ($43,126,126) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Hungary in the 2nd quarter of 2018 was $608,386,671, a 85.30% increase ($280,060,724) over the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Hungary was Russia’s 21st largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (up from 22nd in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.9966% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.9567% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Hungary was Russia’s 24th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (up from 25th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 1.0488% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.9916% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Hungary was Russia’s 25th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 24th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.9018% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.9041% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Hungary

The major share of Russian exports to Hungary in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 85.19% of Russia’s total exports to Hungary (83.46% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 7.83% of Russia’s total exports to Hungary (12.56% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 4.63% of Russia’s total exports to Hungary (1.89% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);

Russia’s Imports from Hungary
