Russia’s Trade with Ireland

In the 2nd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Ireland totaled $509,625,307, up 48.64% ($166,770,964) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Ireland in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $130,659,235, up 71.66% ($54,543,403) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Ireland in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $378,966,072, up 42.07% ($112,227,561) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade deficit with Ireland in the 2nd quarter of 2018 was $248,306,837, a 30.26% increase ($57,684,158) over the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Ireland was Russia’s 49th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (up from 53rd in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2982% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2453% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Ireland was Russia’s 72nd largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (up from 76th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1186% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0906% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Ireland was Russia’s 32nd largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (up from 36th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.6242% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.4782% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Ireland

The major share of Russian exports to Ireland in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 63.52% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (71.76% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 26.62% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (21.78% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 4.01% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (1.87% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 3.52% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (2.02% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
