Russia’s Trade with Kazakhstan

In the 2nd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Kazakhstan totaled $4,645,374,521, up 10.68% ($448,427,862) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Kazakhstan in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $3,196,209,184, up 7.36% ($219,065,357) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Kazakhstan in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $1,449,165,337, up 18.80% ($229,362,505) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Kazakhstan in the 2nd quarter of 2018 was $1,747,043,847, a 0.59% decrease ($10,297,148) over the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Kazakhstan was Russia’s 11th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 10th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 2.7180% of Russia’s total trade (down from 3.0030% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Kazakhstan was Russia’s 10th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 8th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 2.9003% of Russia’s total exports (down from 3.5454% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Kazakhstan was Russia’s 9th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 2.3871% of Russia’s total imports (up from 2.1866% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

The major share of Russian exports to Kazakhstan in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:
