Russia’s Trade with Singapore

In the 2nd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Singapore was $935,249,822, down 11.10% ($116,825,050) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Singapore in the 2nd quarter of 2018 were $750,538,190, down 10.77% ($90,627,151) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Singapore in the 2nd quarter of 2018 were $184,711,632, down 12.42% ($26,197,899) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Singapore in the 2nd quarter of 2018 was $565,826,558, a 10.22% decrease ($64,429,252) over the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Singapore was Russia’s 36th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 27th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.5472% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.7528% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Singapore was Russia’s 32nd largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 23rd in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.6810% of Russia’s total exports (down from 1.0017% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Singapore was Russia’s 49th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 48th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.3043% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.3781% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Singapore

The major share of Russian exports to Singapore in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 96.34% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (98.34% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 2.44% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (0.58% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Singapore in the 2nd quarter of 2018 over the 2nd quarter of 2017 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - an increase of $9,374,001;
  • Articles of iron or steel (HS code 73) - an increase of $4,540,674.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Singapore in the 2nd quarter of 2018 over the 2nd quarter of 2017 were recorded for the following product groups:
