Russia’s Trade with the Philippines

In the 2nd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with the Philippines totaled $299,900,586, up 140.68% ($175,294,076) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $197,655,852, up 552.65% ($167,370,707) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $102,244,734, up 8.40% ($7,923,369) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade balance with the Philippines went from a deficit of $64,036,220 in the 2nd quarter of 2017, to a surplus of $95,411,118 in the 2nd quarter of 2018.

The Philippines was Russia’s 65th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (up from 74th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1755% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0892% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

The Philippines was Russia’s 60th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (up from 94th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1794% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0361% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

The Philippines was Russia’s 61st largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 59th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1684% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.1691% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to the Philippines

The major share of Russian exports to the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 65.09% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (62.86% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 20.15% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (0.43% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 8.21% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (10.63% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 4.37% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (20.54% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);

Russia’s Imports from the Philippines

The major share of Russian imports from the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:
