Russia’s Trade with Armenia

In the 4th quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Armenia was $574,169,049, down 1.55% ($9,024,465) from the 4th quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Armenia in the 4th quarter of 2018 were $407,029,414, down 3.33% ($14,003,386) from the 4th quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Armenia in the 4th quarter of 2018 totaled $167,139,635, up 3.07% ($4,978,921) from the 4th quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Armenia in the 4th quarter of 2018 was $239,889,779, a 7.33% decrease ($18,982,307) over the 4th quarter of 2017.

Armenia was Russia’s 46th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2018 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.3073% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.3489% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

Armenia was Russia’s 45th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2018 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.3270% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.4093% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

Armenia was Russia’s 50th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2018 (down from 49th in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2681% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.2523% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Armenia

The major share of Russian exports to Armenia in the 4th quarter of 2018 (and in the 4th quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 38.79% of Russia’s total exports to Armenia (30.17% in the 4th quarter of 2017);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 19.33% of Russia’s total exports to Armenia (24.15% in the 4th quarter of 2017);
