Russia’s Trade with Ecuador

In the 4th quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Ecuador totaled $453,674,716, up 19.09% ($72,737,747) from the 4th quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Ecuador in the 4th quarter of 2018 totaled $131,739,497, up 137.07% ($76,170,161) from the 4th quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Ecuador in the 4th quarter of 2018 were $321,935,219, down 1.05% ($3,432,414) from the 4th quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade deficit with Ecuador in the 4th quarter of 2018 was $190,195,722, a 29.50% decrease ($79,602,575) over the 4th quarter of 2017.

Ecuador was Russia’s 55th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2018 (up from 58th in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2428% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2279% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

Ecuador was Russia’s 75th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2018 (up from 82nd in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1058% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0540% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

Ecuador was Russia’s 33rd largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2018 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.5164% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.5062% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Ecuador

The major share of Russian exports to Ecuador in the 4th quarter of 2018 (and in the 4th quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - an increase of $777,896.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Ecuador in the 4th quarter of 2018 over the 4th quarter of 2017 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Inorganic chemicals; organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals,of radioactive elements or of isotopes (HS code 28) - a decrease of $2,665,598;
  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - a decrease of $699,534.

The largest gains in Russia’s imports from Ecuador in the 4th quarter of 2018 over the 4th quarter of 2017 were recorded for the following product groups:
