Russia’s Trade with Georgia

In the 4th quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Georgia was $341,932,017, down 1.07% ($3,700,328) from the 4th quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Georgia in the 4th quarter of 2018 totaled $230,728,996, up 2.67% ($5,996,803) from the 4th quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Georgia in the 4th quarter of 2018 were $111,203,021, down 8.02% ($9,697,131) from the 4th quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Georgia in the 4th quarter of 2018 was $119,525,975, a 15.11% increase ($15,693,934) over the 4th quarter of 2017.

Georgia was Russia’s 64th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2018 (down from 60th in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1830% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2068% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

Georgia was Russia’s 58th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2018 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1853% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.2185% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

Georgia was Russia’s 58th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2018 (up from 61st in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1784% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.1881% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 26.30% of Russia’s total exports to Georgia (27.81% in the 4th quarter of 2017);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 13.65% of Russia’s total exports to Georgia (15.32% in the 4th quarter of 2017);
