Russia’s Trade with Greece

In the 4th quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Greece totaled $1,180,499,446, up 43.06% ($355,339,367) from the 4th quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Greece in the 4th quarter of 2018 totaled $1,108,212,489, up 47.12% ($354,922,807) from the 4th quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Greece in the 4th quarter of 2018 totaled $72,286,957, up 0.58% ($416,560) from the 4th quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Greece in the 4th quarter of 2018 was $1,035,925,532, a 52.02% increase ($354,506,247) over the 4th quarter of 2017.

Greece was Russia’s 33rd largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2018 (up from 39th in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.6318% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.4937% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

Greece was Russia’s 24th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2018 (up from 32nd in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.8902% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.7323% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

Greece was Russia’s 66th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2018 (down from 65th in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1159% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1118% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Greece

The major share of Russian exports to Greece in the 4th quarter of 2018 (and in the 4th quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 88.21% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (80.75% in the 4th quarter of 2017);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 7.20% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (16.00% in the 4th quarter of 2017);
