Russia’s Trade with Ireland

In the 4th quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Ireland totaled $573,152,190, up 29.30% ($129,885,820) from the 4th quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Ireland in the 4th quarter of 2018 totaled $211,935,761, up 71.17% ($88,121,501) from the 4th quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Ireland in the 4th quarter of 2018 totaled $361,216,429, up 13.07% ($41,764,319) from the 4th quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade deficit with Ireland in the 4th quarter of 2018 was $149,280,668, a 23.70% decrease ($46,357,182) over the 4th quarter of 2017.

Ireland was Russia’s 47th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2018 (up from 55th in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.3068% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2652% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

Ireland was Russia’s 63rd largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2018 (up from 69th in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1702% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.1204% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

Ireland was Russia’s 32nd largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2018 (up from 34th in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.5794% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.4970% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Ireland

The major share of Russian exports to Ireland in the 4th quarter of 2018 (and in the 4th quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 87.02% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (29.49% in the 4th quarter of 2017);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 6.73% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (18.95% in the 4th quarter of 2017);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 3.04% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (2.31% in the 4th quarter of 2017);

Russia’s Imports from Ireland
