Russia’s Trade with Ireland
In the 1st quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Ireland totaled $451,772,347, up 6.92% ($29,256,141) from the 1st quarter of 2018.
Russia’s exports to Ireland in the 1st quarter of 2019 were $102,893,808, down 31.27% ($46,818,129) from the 1st quarter of 2018.
Russia’s imports from Ireland in the 1st quarter of 2019 totaled $348,878,539, up 27.89% ($76,074,270) from the 1st quarter of 2018.
Russia’s trade deficit with Ireland in the 1st quarter of 2019 was $245,984,731, a 99.84% increase ($122,892,399) over the 1st quarter of 2018.
Ireland was Russia’s 52nd largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2019 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.2870% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2680% in the 1st quarter of 2018).
Ireland was Russia’s 72nd largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2019 (down from 63rd in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0986% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1453% in the 1st quarter of 2018).
Ireland was Russia’s 32nd largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2019 (up from 34th in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.6577% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.4996% in the 1st quarter of 2018).
Russia’s Exports to Ireland
The major share of Russian exports to Ireland in the 1st quarter of 2019 (and in the 1st quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 60.15% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (44.98% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 26.79% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (13.83% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 7.19% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (6.61% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
