Russia’s Trade with Montenegro

In the 1st quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Montenegro totaled $7,766,646, up 18.01% ($1,185,439) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Montenegro in the 1st quarter of 2019 were $1,460,654, down 1.80% ($26,741) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Montenegro in the 1st quarter of 2019 totaled $6,305,992, up 23.80% ($1,212,180) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade deficit with Montenegro in the 1st quarter of 2019 was $4,845,338, a 34.35% increase ($1,238,921) over the 1st quarter of 2018.

Montenegro was Russia’s 138th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2019 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0049% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0042% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Montenegro in the 1st quarter of 2019 over the 1st quarter of 2018 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - a decrease of $269,569;
  • Meat and edible meat offal (HS code 02) - a decrease of $254,171;
  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - a decrease of $64,102;
  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $23,017;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $15,553.
