The top five Russia’s trade partners in North America in the 1st quarter of 2019 were the US (3.7970% of Russia’s total foreign trade), Mexico (0.4203%), Canada (0.2270%), Cuba (0.0388%), and Puerto Rico (0.0315%);

The top five Russia’s export markets in North America in the 1st quarter of 2019 were the US (2.5732% of Russia’s total exports), Mexico (0.4334%), Canada (0.2010%), Cuba (0.0529%), and Puerto Rico (0.0204%);

The top five Russia’s import suppliers from North America in the 1st quarter of 2019 were the US (6.2053% of Russia’s total imports), Mexico (0.3946%), Canada (0.2782%), Jamaica (0.0546%), and Puerto Rico (0.0534%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of North America in the 1st quarter of 2019 over the 1st quarter of 2018:

  • The share of Trinidad and Tobago in Russia’s total exports declined 30.7-fold from 0.2611% in the 1st quarter of the 2018 to 0.0085% in the 1st quarter of the 2019;
  • The share of the Dominican Republic in Russia’s total exports declined 7.6-fold from 0.0394% in the 1st quarter of the 2018 to 0.0052% in the 1st quarter of the 2019 ;
  • The share of Puerto Rico in Russia’s total exports rose 13.6-fold from 0.0015% in the 1st quarter of the 2018 to 0.0204% in the 1st quarter of the 2019;
  • The share of Nicaragua in Russia’s total exports rose 12.2-fold from 0.0009% in the 1st quarter of the 2018 to 0.0110% in the 1st quarter of the 2019;
  • The share of the US in Russia’s total imports rose from 4.6491% in the 1st quarter of the 2018 to 6.2053% in the 1st quarter of the 2019.
