Russia’s Trade with Estonia

In the 2nd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Estonia totaled $775,959,236, up 3.14% ($23,597,881) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Estonia in the 2nd quarter of 2019 totaled $654,583,357, up 15.74% ($89,023,913) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Estonia in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were $121,375,879, down 35.02% ($65,426,032) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Estonia in the 2nd quarter of 2019 was $533,207,478, a 40.78% increase ($154,449,945) over the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Estonia was Russia’s 38th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (up from 39th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.4847% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.4402% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Estonia was Russia’s 33rd largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (up from 39th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.6496% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.5132% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Estonia was Russia’s 57th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 48th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.2046% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.3077% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Estonia

The major share of Russian exports to Estonia in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 44.38% of Russia’s total exports to Estonia (55.88% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 29.16% of Russia’s total exports to Estonia (19.88% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
