Russia’s Trade with Lebanon

In the 2nd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Lebanon totaled $91,790,974, up 2.92% ($2,604,599) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Lebanon in the 2nd quarter of 2019 totaled $88,573,796, up 2.84% ($2,448,820) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Lebanon in the 2nd quarter of 2019 totaled $3,217,178, up 5.09% ($155,779) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Lebanon in the 2nd quarter of 2019 was $85,356,618, a 2.76% increase ($2,293,041) over the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Lebanon was Russia’s 86th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 84th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0573% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0522% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Lebanon was Russia’s 73rd largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (up from 77th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0879% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0782% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Lebanon was Russia’s 118th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 116th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0054% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0050% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Lebanon

The major share of Russian exports to Lebanon in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 53.39% of Russia’s total exports to Lebanon (4.85% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 33.86% of Russia’s total exports to Lebanon (78.29% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);

  • Wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal (HS code 44) - a decrease of $2,060,350;
  • Miscellaneous chemical products (HS code 38) - a decrease of $1,087,779;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $1,022,128;
  • Animal or vegetable fats and oils and their cleavage products prepared edible fats; animal or vegetable waxes (HS code 15) - a decrease of $676,196;
  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $411,300;
  • Cocoa and cocoa preparations (HS code 18) - a decrease of $271,819.
