The top five Russia’s trade partners in North America in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were the US (4.5127% of Russia’s total foreign trade), Mexico (0.3647%), Canada (0.2811%), Puerto Rico (0.0801%), and Cuba (0.0462%);

The top five Russia’s export markets in North America in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were the US (3.5970% of Russia’s total exports), Mexico (0.3058%), Canada (0.2341%), Puerto Rico (0.0746%), and Cuba (0.0669%);

The top five Russia’s import suppliers from North America in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were the US (6.0681% of Russia’s total imports), Mexico (0.4647%), Canada (0.3610%), Puerto Rico (0.0895%), and Jamaica (0.0548%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of North America in the 2nd quarter of 2019 over the 2nd quarter of 2018:

  • The share of the US in Russia’s total exports rose from 2.6173% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018 to 3.5970% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019;
  • The share of Trinidad and Tobago in Russia’s total exports declined 14.3-fold from 0.1600% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018 to 0.0112% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019;
  • The share of Costa Rica in Russia’s total exports declined 5.0-fold from 0.0261% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018 to 0.0052% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019;
  • The share of Puerto Rico in Russia’s total exports rose 49.7-fold from 0.0015% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018 to 0.0746% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019.
